MAY 2026 HIGHLIGHTS | PRELIMINARY REGATTA SARDINIA

May was an intense month for the Luna Rossa team. The Preliminary Regatta Sardinia, the first event of the 38th America’s Cup, took place in the team’s home waters in Cagliari, in front of Luna Rossa supporters.

After eight fleet races and a final match race against Emirates Team New Zealand, Luna Rossa’s Senior Team claimed victory in the Preliminary Regatta Sardinia, while the Youth & Women team secured the Youth & Women title.

Once the celebrations were over, the team shifted its focus back to the AC75. Following an initial towing session, preparations began for the next months of sailing and for the modifications that will be introduced ahead of the 38th America’s Cup in Naples.
