TEAM

Andrea had just graduated in  Computer Science engineering when he set up his first business to develop systems to shoot photos and videos inside amusement parks. He has sailed since he was a child, following the 'classic' path that led him from Optimists to bigger boats, ranging from 420, 470 to 49ers. Today he races with his childhood friends from Ravenna (his hometown) on a 35' boat with which he has also won the ORC Italian championship three times. In 2000 he worked on a Sail Vision program for Luna Rossa, but his official, full-time entry in the team was in 2007, when he developed a new system - the Racing Software - for the Valencia edition. Since 2021 Andrea has been working in Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli's Mechatronics department, designing and developing both the Sail Vision (the system that measures sail shapes in flying mode) and the Racing Software (that allows the helmsmen to know their position on the race course and the times for the starts and approaching the boundary or buoys). In his free time he enjoys sailing and racing. The 2024 edition will be his third America's Cup.
