Born in Genoa, Cesare began rowing with the Società Canottieri Sampierdarenesi soon after he graduated from the Liceo Scientifico Tecnologico. In his professional sports career (2013 - 2022) he has achieved important international results, such as winning the World Championship in the Men’s Four Under 23, followed by bronze at the absolute European Championships in Belgrade in 2014. He then won bronze aboard the Men's Eight at the European Championships in Munich and a bronze in the Eight at the World absolute championships in Sarasota (2017). After closing his Olympic career Cesare participated in the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli selections and joined the team in 2024 in the role of cyclor. The 37th edition in Barcelona will be his first America's Cup. In his free time he enjoys scuba fishing.
