TEAM

Born in Desenzano del Garda, Mauro graduated from an art high school and soon after found a job at Italo and Carlo Galetti's boatyard that built famous racing boats designed by renowned international designers such as Frers, Brenta, Felci, Ceccarelli, Maletto, etc. Mauro realized right away that he had found his way and what had started almost by chance became his job for 27 years. While working at Galetti he was also in charge of the preparation and optimization of Ruggero Tita and Caterina Banti's Nacra 17 ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (where they won the gold medal); upon the express request of the FIV, he also managed the preparation of the boats for Olympic Classes of the Italian athletes present in Japan. In 2022 he joined the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli shore team specializing in painting, checking and tuning of all appendages (foil arm, wing and rudder). Passionate about Harley-Davidsons, airbrush drawing and tattoos, this is his first America's Cup.
