Born in Populonia, Tuscany, he moved to Valencia, Spain in 2004. A carpenter with a passion for soccer, he entered the sailing world as an apprentice with the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team in May 2000. This experience radically changed his life and led him to participate in two consecutive America's Cups with Luna Rossa (2003 / 2007), and to win the Cup with Team Oracle in 2010. For many years he was "Floor Manager" of the North Sails sail loft in Valencia and has been sailmaker for numerous teams in different circuits, such as TP52, RC44, Maxi, Swan. In 2018 he returns with Luna Rossa for the TP52 project and to follow the birth of the AC75 ahead of the 2021 Cup. The 2024 one will be his fifth AC Campaign, the fourth with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. In his spare time, he dedicates himself to his family and is very fond of snowboarding and soccer.
