Born in the province of Bari, Danilo graduated from the Euclide Aeronautical Institute and right after enrolled in a professional training course aimed at developing team work skills. Singled out for his good will and perseverance, he quicky received a job offer from the shipyard Neo Yachts & Composites in Bari, Italy, specialized in building carbon fiber cruising and racing hulls. In the two and a half years spent there he trained in construction and paint preparation techniques and mastered the tricks to carry out a perfect lamination. By chance he was noticed by a member of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli looking for a new resource to join the shore group; he joined the team in 2022 in the boat building department. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and motorcycling, but would like to learn to sail in order to better understand the incredible boats he helps to build. The 2024 edition will be his first Americas' Cup.
