Massimiliano was born on the Ligurian coast where he started sailing at a very young age. At fourteen, he decided to focus exclusively on his passion and to develop his skills by sailing and working around the world. Among his various experiences is that of second captain and member of the shore team of the maxi yacht Esimit Europa 2. This is his third America's Cup, after the 2021 edition raced with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli and the one in 2017, won with Emirates Team New Zealand.
