Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Joaquin started sailing at an early age on Optimists, Cadet and Laser. After studying naval architecture at the National University of Quilmes, he worked both as a boat builder and designer for several shipyards and racing yachts. In particular, he was involved as an engineer on important projects such as Telefonica VO70, Artemis Racing Team, Rambler 88ft OD, Groupama Team France, and Club Swan 125ft. He has participated in three AC: 2013 Artemis Racing, 2017 Groupama Team France, 2021 Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli). The 2024 campaign will be his fourth America's Cup, the third with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. He loves surfing and wing foil.
