TEAM

Born in Civitavecchia, Mattia grew up close to the sea and began windsurfing at the age of six, developing skills and determination that quickly attracted the attention of the Italian Sailing Federation. His first important result came in 2013, when he won the U 19 World Championship, followed by a tenth place at the 2016 Rio Olympics. The next four years were a string of successes: three medals at the European Championships (bronze 2017, gold 2018, silver 2021); gold at the 2019 World Cup and the 2018 Mediterranean Games; silver at the 2019 test event on the Enoshima Olympic regatta course, until the double silver (European and World) in 2021. His participation in the Tokyo Olympics ended with a fifth place and great regret (he missed the podium due to a disqualification). Fascinated by the America's Cup, Mattia took up cycling and joined the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli sailing team.
