RUCKUS NETWORKS CONFIRMED AS OFFICIAL SUPPLIER OF LUNA ROSSA PRADA PIRELLI FOR WI-FI CONNECTIVITY
Italian challenger relies once again on CommScope's services for the 37th America's Cup
The new partnership will allow the team to take advantage of both the RUCKUS Cloud platform, driven by artificial intelligence, and the RUCKUS Wi-Fi systems for data transmission.
Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli will benefit from RUCKUS Network's industry-leading data transmission system for the whole duration of the event, starting with the Challenger Selection Series, which will take place in autumn of 2024 in Barcelona, Spain.
The RUCKUS Wi-Fi network will transmit data collected by the AC75's on-board sensors and devices to a local server and support boats. The flow of this data will be uninterrupted and independent from weather conditions or interference that may be caused by materials on the boat, covering a distance of up to 2 nautical miles.
During training sessions, the collection of these gigabytes of data - including speed, GPS coordinates, wind and weather conditions - is crucial to optimize the sailors' work.

RUCKUS Networks will also provide the network at the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli base in Cagliari, Italy, allowing the team and guests a secure connection, and will offer the same service in Barcelona, ensuring a seamless transition from on-premises network management in Italy to RUCKUS Cloud management in Spain.
In addition, to guarantee strict end-to-end network security, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli has implemented RUCKUS Cloud, which assigns a digital certificate to authorized team members and is able to revoke it in a matter of seconds in the event of a problem, without affecting other users.
