OCEAN SPOTLIGHT | What happens to plastic when it ends up in the sea?

The fifth episode of the column dedicated to protecting the oceans featuring Davide Cannata, previously a grinder in the 36th America's Cup, he is now part of the elecrtronics department.

What happens to plastic when it ends up in the sea?

Plastic in the sea begins a decomposition process that turns it into microplastic. Once this process occurs, it is easier for microplastic to be ingested by smaller marine animals, which in turn will be eaten by larger fish, thus entering the trophic chain, which alas often ends up on our tables.
