The Emilia-Romagna Region award for Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli
A special recognition by the Region was assigned today to the team members from Emilia-Romagna.
Today, May 25th, a press conference and award ceremony were held in honour of the members of from the Emilia-Romagna region who participated in the most recent challenge of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli for the 36th America's Cup presented by PRADA.
With this award the Region conferred a special recognition to the team members who contributed to the victory of the PRADA Cup and the results obtained against the New Zealanders, defenders of the Cup, during the Final Match in Auckland last March.
Attending the press conference were Max Sirena, Skipper and Team Director, and Francesco Longanesi Cattani, representative in Auckland of the CEO - Title Sponsor Liaison. Both of them strongly emphasized the considerable contribution of the Emilia-Romagna region in terms of sporting, entrepreneurial and technological skills that contributed to the success of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli.
During the ceremony, the president of the Region Stefano Bonaccini, together with councillor for tourism Andrea Corsini, presented the award to the team members, highlighting the professionalism and skills that Emilia Romagna has showed in the nautical world, a sector of considerable importance for the regional economy.
Both institutional representatives and Max Sirena, expressed their hope for a closer collaboration to further enhance the territory and its resources.
A total of 19 team members took part in the ceremony, some of which connected in remote, and received a plaque symbolizing the gratitude and pride of the entire region for their sporting results.

At the end of the press conference and the awards ceremony, Max Sirena gifted the President of the Region with a poster of the 36th America’s Cup presented by PRADA signed by the team members.
Receiving the award for Luna Rossa were Giuseppe Acquafredda, Andrea Bazzini, Vincenzo Brusa, Denis Corti, Michele Crotti, Guido Longhi, Antonio Martino, Marco Mercuriali, Umberto Molineris, Gilberto Nobili, Matteo Olivieri, Sara Paesani, Jacopo Plazzi Marzotto, Max Sirena, Enrico Voltolini; receiving it for COR36, organizer of the America's Cup World Series and PRADA Cup in Auckland, were Valerio Bertuccioli, Francesco Longanesi Cattani, Matteo Plazzi and Antonio Vettese.
