The city of Cagliari will give way to the first regattas from 23rd to 26th April 2020, hosting the first stage of the America’s World Cup Series. The subsequent regattas will take place in Portsmouth, England, from 4th to 7th June and will end in Auckland, New Zealand, from 17th to 20th December. The Prada Cup, the series of regattas that will see the participation of all teams to select the Challenger, is set to take place in Auckland in early 2021. The Prada Cup will decree the winner who will take on the Defender in the 36th America’s Cup presented by Prada, scheduled from 6th to 21st March 2021 in the gulf of Hauraki, Auckland.
Now in its 36th edition, the America’s Cup is the oldest trophy in sailing history and sees the participation of the world’s most technologically advanced boats. The America’s Cup has always been synonymous with excellence, from the most innovative boats to the best teams.
The partnership between Pardo Yachts and Luna Rossa is based on shared foundations, which have allowed the two companies to find themselves in common projects and principles: two great outstanding leaders in Made in Italy, in investments in advanced technologies, in innovation, and in maximizing performance. In competitions like the America’s Cup, every tiny detail and every second lost or gained can make the difference between winning and losing.
The Pardo 38 will be one of the technical boats to provide support and assistance to the AC75 Luna Rossa. The version equipped with three Mercury 300 hp outboard engines has been chosen for its ability to reach a speed of up to 50 knots to follow the navigation of the AC75 close up.
As regards on-board electronic instrumentation, the Pardo 38 will be fitted out with Garmin accessories.
The two Pardo 43 will be used as official guest cruisers. It has been chosen for several important features which justify its great success: it is a stylish boat entirely “Made in Italy” which combines power and elegance, comfort and functionality.
