Today we achieved an important milestone towards the 36th America’s Cup. The structural testing of the one-design foil arm was successful and signed off by the Challenger teams and Defender.
The one design foil arm is one of the primary structural components of the AC75 and the entire program is the outcome of an extraordinary effort in terms of design, engineering and manufacturing led by Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team, Emirates Team New Zealand took the lead on the development and construction of the hydraulic foil cant system as agreed as per the AC75 Class Rule.
We are very proud of the hugely collaborative effort undertaken to date by Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team, together with Emirates Team New Zealand, American Magic and INEOS TEAM.
This is a defining moment for the America’s Cup community and sailing worldwide.
We are looking forward to getting our AC75 on the water.
