DRIVING LUNA ROSSA: BURLING, PORRO, TITA AND GRADONI
Four athletes, one goal: to win the America’s Cup
With a view to the 2027 America’s Cup, Luna Rossa has assembled a world-class team across the board, with top-level experts in every department. At the heart of the campaign is, of course, the sailing team, which will play a leading role in all phases of the 38th America’s Cup, as well as in the youth and women’s regattas and the preliminary events. New members will join the existing core group over the coming months, following a careful selection process, with the aim of identifying the profiles best suited to achieving the set goals. The objective is to build a cohesive, synergistic team capable of maximizing diverse experiences and potential. Women and men, young talents, Olympic champions, and America’s Cup veterans will form a unique mix, united by the same goal: winning the oldest trophy in sport.
Today we introduce four of these outstanding athletes. The oldest was born in 1991, the youngest in 2004. They started sailing as children for fun, but soon realized they were destined for great success. They are determined, focused, and eager to learn, grow, and constantly push beyond their limits—both athletically and personally. Each of them brings an exceptional résumé and contributes their own experience, determination, and proactive mindset to the team.
The energy and enthusiasm of the younger members are contagious and create the ideal environment for healthy internal competition; the experience of the senior members, on the other hand, channels that drive into continuous optimization of overall performance. The result is a stimulating environment where interaction is constant—because no one wins the America’s Cup alone.
