ALFA ROMEO UNVEILS THE GIULIA QUADRIFOGLIO LUNA ROSSA, A TRIBUTE TO THE ITALIAN BOAT
The new limited series inspired by the America’s Cup AC75 makes its world premiere at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show
In the wake of the partnership signed on 10 June 2025, Alfa Romeo celebrates the Italian America’s Cup team with a true collector’s car, the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa, inspired by the iconic yacht that starred in the 37th edition of the America’s Cup in Barcelona in 2024.
Produced in just ten units, all already sold, the new special series pays tribute to the AC75 Luna Rossa, from which it draws inspiration and with which it shares a performance driven engineering approach. The extensive use of carbon fibre, a key element on Luna Rossa as well, helps optimise the aerodynamic package, while numerous styling details echo the AC75. Among these, the hand painted metallic effect bodywork stands out, inspired by the colour of the yacht that competed in the 37th America’s Cup in 2024, combined with a two tone livery featuring a red side stripe and the Luna Rossa lettering.

Particularly striking from a visual standpoint is the double profile rear wing, supported by two central pylons, inspired by the foils of the Luna Rossa AC75s. The interior has also been reinterpreted to seal the synergy between automotive racing and sailing, as demonstrated by the seats, which feature an exclusive upholstery inspired by the materials and graphics of the Personal Flotation Devices worn by the crew. In addition, the dashboard trim incorporates one of the ultra thin layers that make up an original Luna Rossa sail, while several interior elements are embellished with the sailing team’s logo.
As a tribute to Luna Rossa, Alfa Romeo brand logos adopt, for the first time in the brand’s history, a red background instead of the traditional black. The roof, grille shield and mirror caps are in exposed carbon fibre, further emphasising the distinctive character of the new special series and strengthening its connection with the world of Luna Rossa.
«The Giulia Quadrifoglio represents the highest expression of Alfa Romeo sportiness», said Max Sirena, CEO of Luna Rossa. «The decision to develop a limited edition inspired by Luna Rossa represents a very important recognition for us. Performance oriented development and the use of cutting edge materials have always been part of the DNA of both brands, in keeping with engineering excellence and Italian industrial culture».
Santo Ficili, CEO of Alfa Romeo, added: «The collaboration with Team Luna Rossa is rooted in shared values, such as our Italian heritage, the ability to turn passion into performance, and a constant drive towards innovation. This is not a simple sponsorship, but a genuine exchange of expertise and experience. It is with this spirit and pride that we present today on the international stage of Brussels, the exclusive Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa, the first tangible product of a prestigious partnership and a shared vision looking to the future. Two Italian excellences, one single ambition, to push beyond every limit».
