Third Challenger Final

On October 20, 2010, Patrizio Bertelli officially launched the fourth challenge, beginning a new campaign with Circolo della Vela Sicilia and appointing Max Sirena as skipper for the first time. Three years later, the Louis Vuitton Cup got underway in San Francisco Bay with the AC72 maxi catamarans. Luna Rossa qualified for the Challenger Selection Series Final for the third time. Emirates Team New Zealand would go on to face Oracle in the America’s Cup Match, with the American Defender ultimately winning after a legendary comeback.
