Once again Challenger of Record, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli worked together with Defender Emirates Team New Zealand to develop the new class of boats for the 2021 edition: the revolutionary foiling AC75 monohulls. Luna Rossa won the Challenger Selection Series (PRADA Cup), defeating the British team INEOS 7–1, and more than 20 years later faced Defender Emirates Team New Zealand once again in the waters of Auckland. The Final Match was sailed from March 10 to 17, 2021. After ten hard-fought races, the 36th America’s Cup presented by PRADA concluded with a 7–3 victory for the Defender. Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli achieved the best result ever for an Italian team.
