LUNA ROSSA AND VESPUCCI TOGETHER IN CAGLIARI

A meeting of bows off the coast of Cagliari to celebrate two great Italian endeavors, one concluding and the other just beginning. On her route to Genoa — where on June 10 she will conclude the World Tour which began in 2023 — the training ship Amerigo Vespucci made a stop in Cagliari, home of the Luna Rossa team, which has just begun its journey toward the 38th America’s Cup. Around 3:00 PM, taking advantage of a steady 15-knot wind, Luna Rossa’s AC40 sailed out to meet the Vespucci. Flying on the foils, she circled around the bow of the ship several times before escorting her to the dock, where she will remain open to the public for a few days.
