COLLABORATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE Italian OLYMPIC SAILING TEAM and Luna Rossa

The Italian Olympic sailing team and Luna Rossa have formed a collaboration agreement that started with a series of lessons on race strategies and rules held by Francesco Bruni, helmsman of Luna Rossa.

The lessons are taking place in Cagliari - where team Luna Rossa has its base and where the Olympic Team is carrying out its winter training session. The activities will continue in the coming weeks, both in the classroom and on the water.

Michele Marchesini, the Technical Director of the National Sailing team, said: "Luna Rossa is the Italian excellence in the world, not only in the sport of sailing, but also in technology and team management; we are therefore convinced that the collaboration between the two teams has great potential. What is happening in Cagliari is very positive: these are the synergies that accelerate the growth of our athletes."

Francesco Bruni added: "I accepted this cooperation proposal advanced by the National Olympic Team with great pleasure. These synergy projects are essential and represent a learning opportunity for us all. I am therefore happy to pass on my experience and to support our standard-bearers for Rio 2016 “.
